on the cylinder - some people obsess about such things! |

I have used this gun extensively over the years firing many thousands of rounds through it. Over 5000 rounds went down the bore in one year alone. People have asked me, have you ever had any problems with it? Sure. Nothing like what I would expect for as hard as it has been used though.
I broke a firing pin once. Freedom Arms told me "Dummy! Didn't we tell you NOT to dry-fire it without snap caps?" and replaced the firing pin for me.
I had the front trigger-guard screw snap off during firing one time .. about 12 or 13 years into it's use. I think I may have let it get loose and the recoil popped the head of the screw off. Freedom Arms sent me a packet of all new screws for it.
I burned the barrel throat after about 15 years of heavy use. Freedom Arms rebarreled it with one of their new barrels that is THE SLICKEST bore I have ever seen!
After almost 20 years of continuous use I broke a mainspring. Freedom Arms sent me 2 new springs.
The gun has held up well for as hard as it has been used. Extremely well I would say. Paco and a few others who know me know exactly how hard we used and abused this pistol. It has functioned well and I expect it will continue to do so.
I have taken quite a large number of game animals with it over the years, packed it almost daily in the mountains of Arizona for about 5 years and expect to take it with me after bear in Alaska next year, the Good Lord willing.
